General information
The Mare Nostrum tournament is a single elimination Go tournament pitting the representatives of nations from around the Mediterranean. The event is held on the Online Go Server (OGS).

Schedule
Round 1: Saturday 24 April at 11:30 a.m. EEST (GMT+3)
Round 2: Saturday 24 April at 15:30 a.m. EEST (GMT+3)
Finals: Sunday 25 April at 11:30 a.m. EEST (GMT+3)
Rules
All games must be played on OGS as a public game.
Tournament system: Single elimination.
Each nation is represented by a single player who holds its respective citizenship.
All games will be handicapped based on player strength and will be determined by the organizer during the draw
Playing rules: Japanese
Komi: 6,5 points
Time: 45 minutes + five 30 second byo-yomi.
Games should start immediately after the pairing is announced. If a player does not show up 30 minutes after the start, he will be forfeited.
Dispute resolution: An appeals committee will be formed by the organisers who will be responsible for resolving disputes.
Fair Play
The participants are not allowed to use any type of outside help, including but not limited to joseki dictionaries and AI programs.
